About Amy
Hi there! I’m Amy Walker and I grew up in Lawson, Missouri, about 45 miles outside of Kansas City, MO. I’m a local mortgage loan officer for the Columbia, MO region. While growing up in Lawson, I always enjoyed a good competition, singing in choir, participating in theater, and even academic team, but there wasn’t a time that you wouldn’t find me playing or talking about softball. Our 18U team went on to win the MO Fastpitch World Series during my last eligible year to play competitively.
I started out in finances at the age of 17 working at a local bank while pursuing my AA at Maple Woods Community College-KC. After graduating, I transferred to the University of Missouri to pursue my dream job of becoming the Kansas City Royal’s statistician. It’s always good to dream big! Shortly after moving to Columbia, I started my career in lending at a local credit union and have always looked forward to serving those in our community to become homeowners.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy supporting Mizzou Athletics and watching almost any sport or exploring my green thumb at my growing home garden in Hallsville, MO. Whether you are a first-time homebuyer, looking to relocate, refinance or invest, I am here to make your goals mine and get you across the finish line. I look forward to learning how I can better serve homebuyers with USA Mortgage.
