My name is Brandon Barnes, and I grew up in the bootheel of Missouri, specifically, the small town of Sikeston. I came to Columbia in 1999 for college, on a football scholarship with the University of Missouri. After graduating in 2004, I continued pursuing the path of football, playing linebacker in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Redskins. I moved back to Columbia in 2008 with my wife, Deon, adding two children, Jackson and Lauren, we have called it home ever since. While working in sports over the last 10 years, I have been a coach for the Mizzou football program and have been a fundraiser for the Athletics Department.
My previous position was as Senior Business Development with Learfield IMG College, where I worked with the business community on their sports marketing packages. My devotion to community and outreach made it particularly enjoyable to connect with companies and non-for-profits. Currently, I sit on the board of Coyote Hill, a local non-for-profit that provides foster care for children in need. I am also on the Father’s Auxiliary Board for the local Jack and Jill of America, Inc. chapter. Everything in my life has been about drive and determination to reach my goals. Whether it was making it to the NFL and playing on the biggest stage, becoming one of the top sellers at Learfield IMG, or serving the needs of others.
It was my drive and determination that led me there. It’s that same drive and determination that led me to join USA Mortgage. It’s here where I can pursue a passion for real estate and serving the needs of my community, where we offer a wide variety of loan products that are the right fit for your needs. I’m determined to help First Time Home Buyers or seasoned buyers by educating and coaching you through the home buying process. I’ve got you covered with different loan programs from Conventional, FHA, VA loan, USDA, and down payment assistance options. Allow me to be your mortgage coach, and I will carefully attend to your mortgage needs. MIZ!
